Mycologist

Rurik’s maple mushroom (for that is what I will name it) appears primarily in depressions in the forest floor where there exists an abundance of moisture and rotting leaves. The color of the cap ranges from tan to brown – indeed almost the hue of maple syrup – in an ill-defined circular pattern. The edge is rounded and underneath the cap is a radiation of white gills. I discovered one instance of a near perfect circle of these mushrooms, a pattern that suggests they grow in conjunction with one another, perhaps even as protrusions of a single larger organism.

  1. Yes but don't eat one unless you want to get sick and have your honey business stolen from you haha.
