Thoughts While Hiking Back From Lago Grey At Twilight

That heart-expanding, thudding feeling when something surprises you (i.e. during the replicas)... Maybe it’s not fear; maybe it’s awe.

The reddish-tinged rocks scattered across the hills match the sunset sky, as if the day ended and the ceiling of the heavens collapsed upon the land.

What if everyone slept in tents? Anyone could sleep anywhere, and the land would belong to no one.

The mountain winds won’t stop. They blew away the day, and now they want to blow me away too.

The mountains look pinched up
The hills seem crumpled
The end of the earth
Crimped the landscapes together
