The three oranges on my desk are not friends
They rub peels like disgruntled subway riders
And shoot each other invisible dirty looks
My contacts bubble in a cleaning solution
Say goodbye to eyeball pollution
It’s a little pumpkin
Small and round
Ridges radiating
Dull and unprofound
It’s a little pumpkin
Seeds inside
Stem upshooting
Trying to hide
Books and papers
Overwhelmed with writing
Jumping and jiving all over the pages with infinite writhing and rages!
What do quiet speakers do,
Tangled in cords like webs?
When they have nothing to say
Their shapes come clear like towers
Above a plain
